Both bits include a unique rounded tongue that allows easy installation of panels, even in tight spaces. Align the cutter to the board thickness and cut the tongue first, then raise the cutter so that the slot cutter is aligned with the tongue and cut the groove. WL-1488-1 is for standard 3/4 T&G and features a nail relief groove above the tongue allowing the nail to be completely buried wiuthout lifting the panel to insure a toght fit. With its 1/8" tongue the WL-1488-2 is designed for thin material applications, and may be used on material as thin as 1/4" to 1/2".
