Cut- N- Crown™
Now that you've created (or purchased) the crown molding you've always wanted, this system will ensure that it goes up precisely, effortlessly and perfectly without pesky coping. With Cut-N-Crown™ you eliminate cutting errors, reduce material waste, and save time and money. The secret is in Cut-N-Crown's unique system of jigs for specific spring angles, which allows you to make all of your crown molding cuts on the left side of the saw. This feature eliminates the primary reason cutting errors occur - moving the saw from left to right to make an opposing cut. Every cut is a mirror of the previous cut. Forget about the "upside down and backwards" concepts, the expensive compound miter saw and tube after tube of caulk to cover gaps. The result is professional looking crown molding every time, even on vaulted or cathedral ceilings.
What is spring angle and why should I care? Most people are unaware that crown molding comes in three different spring angles. The spring angle is the "tilt" at which the crown molding sits on the wall. Crown molding is made this way to show off detail better at different wall heights. For example, on a mantel or low ceiling you would want crown molding to tilt up towards your eye for better viewing. In the same way, crown molding set into a high ceiling looks best when its tilted down. The Cut-N-Crown™ Instructional DVD will teach you about this and a whole lot more!
