Can the beehive handle bit be made for a shaper

Custom only. We do not stock a shaper version.
The bit extender cuts into to wood. Am I doing something wrong

Yes it will hit wood if it extrudes above table.

Shaft needs to be longer

I’ve read the reviews and answers. I tried using a bit extender, but the collet is wider than the pilot bearing and cuts into the wood above the handhold. How much of the shaft needs to be in the router’s collett?

Sorry but we don't know what you are using for a collet extender. We cannot find an order from you for either the bit or an extender. The correct extender that will work with the WL-1960 is the 47641 Extension Adapter.

Beehive handle router bit review

Service and shipping was excellent from Woodline. The bit does the job but does leave some tear out on one side fairly consistently despite slowing the router speed. It may be the soft pine I am using. It would be helpful to get some suggestions for setup and any other recommendations for successful use of the bit. There were no reviews at all which was disconcerting. There was no instructions/recommendations at all included with the bit. The folks at Woodline should not assume that all of their customers are expert woodworkers ( however I suspect most are).
