Designed specifically for creating comfortable, easy-to-grip handholds on bee supers, the 1960 and 1960XL router bits feature an extended shank that provides excellent reach and control during routing operations. The longer shank design makes it possible to position the handhold close to the top edge of the box, giving beekeepers a secure and balanced grip when lifting or moving heavy supers.
The bit is carbide tipped for long cutting life, durability, and smooth performance, even when working with hardwoods or producing multiple boxes in production settings.
Important setup note: the router bit extender 47641 allows the router collet to reach the top surface of the router table. Care should be taken during height adjustment, as raising the bit too high may cause the collet to contact the wood.
