When you band saw needs new tires, replace them with the best.  These tires are urethane and will stay flexible longer for better performance.  There is no need to glue them to the wheel.  The safety orange color allows for better blade inspection.

Polyurethane has a 5 year shelf life. Even if kept in the baggie, any UV exposure shortens that time.  Fluorescent lights put out UV light, so belts should be stored away from light to extend life.
