International Shipping
International Shipping Policies:
International shipments are sent from our central Tennessee warehouse via USPS Priority, First Class Mail and UPS only and must clear customs before being turned over to local shipping agencies. Most items will normally arrive in 6-18 business days but allow up to 21 days, barring customs issues. Please contact us if you have any questions about broker fees, taxes and any other items your local government might impose. All duties if applicable must be paid on delivery.
✅ What you can estimate
If you’re shipping a small package (example US$50-150) via UPS to Canada:
-
Expect at least CAD $10–20 in brokerage fees under good conditions (low value, simple clearance)
-
But it could be CAD $30–70 or more, depending on value, whether duties/taxes are prepaid, service type (ground vs air)
-
Duties/taxes will be in addition and depend on the nature of the goods, origin, Canadian province destination
🧮 Typical fee scenario for a small package
Suppose you ship a small item from the U.S. to Canada with a declared value of CAD $50 (≈ USD equivalent). Here’s what might happen:
-
Value exceeds the CAD $20 exemption threshold → duty/taxes apply.
-
GST 5% on CAD $50 = CAD $2.50.
-
Plus Canada Post’s handling fee of CAD $9.95.
-
Duties might also apply depending on the item and its origin (but many small items from the U.S. may have 0% duty under trade agreements).
-
So the recipient might see~ CAD $12.45 in taxes/handling in this example (assuming no duty).
Actual duties/fees vary; you should check with your local customs to estimate charges before purchase
